Syros has a typical Mediterranean climate, like all the Cyclades Islands. This climate is characterized by a really sunny summer, a mild winter with infrequent but heavy rainfalls, rare frosts and snowfall (when this happened it is only in mountainous areas) , strong north wings and the famous typically Cycladic meltemia winds in summertime.
