Paxos enjoys a temperate climate, with predictably long, dry summers and calm seas. Heavy rains during the winter/early spring seasons mean that the island is lush and green with a multitude of wild flowers in the months of April, May and June. The days of July and August are long and hot with warm seas. In late September and October, although the days grow a little shorter, the sea is wonderfully warm, flowers and foliage begin to re-emerge and the weather can be surprisingly glorious
